Dom Breadmore

Ludic Rooms
dom@ludicrooms.com

Dom is one of the directors of Ludic Rooms, a digital arts organisation based in Coventry.

We call Ludic Rooms a ‘Digital Arts Organisation’ but at its heart is an ongoing collaboration, a partnership between two practitioners with broadly different creative backgrounds.

Dom Breadmore’s roots lie in photography and the moving image, he studied and later lectured at Coventry School of Art and Design in the department of Media and Communications. He has spent the last decade using technology to help uncover the stories behind people and places; short film, photography exhibitions, video installation, interactive and new media. He has worked extensively with galleries and museums, local authorities, schools and communities.
The partnership is driven by a shared passion for the power of technology’s impact on our everyday lives and the ways in which all people can be creators, not just consumers. Their work is enquiry-led and site responsive, context aware; projects take place in the real world.

Ashley is one of the directors of Ludic Rooms, a digital arts organisation based in Coventry.

They call Ludic Rooms a ‘Digital Arts Organisation’ but at its heart is an ongoing collaboration, a partnership between two practitioners with broadly different creative backgrounds.

Ashley James Brown began his practice as a Computer Scientist and has spent the last decade working as a creative coder, technologist, sound artist and electronic musician. He has created physical interfaces to augment hospital patient experiences, interactive exhibitions that encourage play and designed audio sensory narratives for heritage spaces.

Steph Brown

Culture Coventry

Stephanie Brown is Head of Marketing Communications for <a href="http://www.culturecoventry.com" target="_blank">Culture Coventry</a>, the trust which runs the Lunt Roman Fort.

Originally from up North she’s worked in the Midlands for 11 years – long enough to have (tragically) lost most of the accent, and to have earned her marketing stripes in a range of arts and heritage organisations across the region.  Steph is no relation to Ashley, and she tweets sporadically at <a href="https://twitter.com/@5teph_brown" target="_blank">@5teph_brown</a>

Gary Hall

Culture Coventry

Gary Hall has been Chief Executive of Culture Coventry since March 2013.

Born in Bristol, Gary moved to Coventry in 2007 to run Coventry Transport Museum and quickly adopted Coventry as his second home. He is extremely passionate about promoting the tourism offer of the City and developing the attractions managed by Culture Coventry; Coventry Transport Museum, the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, The Lunt Roman Fort and the Priory Visitor Centre.

Gary is determined to turn Coventry into a major tourist destination that attracts visitors from both the UK and overseas. He has completely transformed Coventry Transport Museum during the past 7 years so the Museum is now financially strong, visitors have a great day out and his staff enjoy being a part of one of the best transport museums in the country. This philosophy is now being rolled out across the various attractions managed by Culture Coventry in order to achieve Gary’s vision for Coventry.

Gary also sits on the board of the Midlands Key Attractions Group promoting tourism to the West Midlands region and is part of the CW8 Group that promotes tourism to Coventry and Warwickshire.
